Organ Console to be Retired
On April 8th, 2018, we celebrated the retirement of our organ console as we prepare for the installation of the new console this summer. Please join us during the 11 a.m. worship for a lot of special music!
The Sunday morning service that day featured some special organ music as well as a number of hymns requested by the congregation as part of the "farewell" to this instrument that has served us for over 100 years. The service concluded with a performance by Tina Illig and Kevin McKenrick, grandson of Fremont McKenrick. The two organists will perform "Organ Fantasie in E Minor" by Adolf Hesse. , a duet previously played by Fremont and Kevin. The service concluded with a brief ceremony marking the official retirement of the organ.
